Voice your support for sidewalks and bike paths on Norbeck Road

Are you a resident who lives near Norbeck Road?  Would you like the opportunity to venture outside your street and explore the area on foot or by bike?

You betcha!  This pedestrian and bike path should run parallel to Norbeck Road and connect to the ICC bike path as well as to the Norbeck Kiss-and-Ride Lot, which is now serviced by three bus lines:  1) Montgomery County Ride-On Buses, 2) WMATA Metro Buses, and 3) ICC Transit Buses.  In this age of rising gas prices, residents would appreciate multi-modal options that don't require driving.

A pedestrian and bike path on Norbeck Road would also allow residents and children to reach the popular Norbeck Recreational Park with its tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamond, and football-soccer fields.  Plus, we could walk or bike to other neighborhoods along Norbeck Road to visit with friends or simply explore and appreciate the architectural and wildlife diversity of our area.

Please call Jeremy Beck of the Maryland State Highway Administration at 410-545-8518 or by e-mail at jbeck@sha.state.md.us to demand that a pedestrian and bike path be built along Norbeck Road (MD-28) between Georgia Ave (MD-97) and Layhill Road (MD-182)

Thanks for your support,
Jesse
