School bus stops on Norbeck Road need to be accessible by a pedestrian and bike path

Yellow sign indicates a school bus stop ahead
While taking pictures of Norbeck Road, I noticed several signs cautioning motorists about school bus stops for children on Norbeck Road.

If school buses are indeed stopping on Norbeck Road, then it is important for the road to have a pedestrian and bike path so that children and their parents can walk safely to and from the bus stops along Norbeck Road.

Maybe we should ask our district and county representatives about a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) grant for this stretch of Norbeck Road?  I'm going to look further into the SRTS program and will publish a post with my research and thoughts.  Stay tuned for more details......

As shown in this picture of Norbeck Road, there is a school-bus sign, however, there are no pedestrian or bike paths anywhere.  That's unacceptable when our children's safety and health are at stake
